Caffe
DiVino ($$)
37 Caledonia St (Sausalito) | Phone: 415-331-9355
Recommended Dish: Tiramisu
Comment: This restaurant serves both Italian
food and dessert. My favorite turns out to be the dessert--blame it on the
sweet tooth. But the desserts here are deliciously unique. Their Italian
dishes do not disappoint either--it is a family owned, local establishment
that is deserving of all its awards. It is not one of the standard, tourist-ridden
restaurants in Sausalito but every bit as good, if not better than all the
ritzy restaurants without the sticker shock.
Peninsula
Angelica's
Bistro ($$)
863 Main St (Redwood City) | Phone: 650-365-3226
San
Francisco
Acquerello ($$$$)
1722 Sacramento St (Nob Hill) | Phone: 415-567-5432
Recommended Dish: Warm Chocolate Cake with Espresso Mascarpone
Gelato
Comment: This restaurant is not for the faint of heart.
The food is delicious, the atmosphere is divine, and the service
is impeccable. Unfortunately or maybe even deservingly, the
price tag on a meal here is on the high side but the entire
experience is worth it.
Bocce
Cafe ($-$$)
478 Green Street (North Beach/Telegraph Hill) |
Phone: 415-981-2044
Recommended Dish: Combination for Two
Comment: Make sure to make reservations. If you do that, you're
set. The food is delicious, the venue is well designed, and the
prices are very reasonable for the amount of food served. Delicious.
