Recommended Dish: Hamachi Sashimi
Comment: The sashimi and fresh oysters are great at this restaurant. The sashimi is cut in thick slices that can make you full by itself and you can taste the freshness of the oysters. It isn't the cheapest place in the Bay Area for Japanese food, but tons of customers drive the long way to Hayward to satisfy their craving for Ray's.

Recommended Dish: Chicken Katsu Curry
Comment: Even though they only have the katsu curry on the menu for lunch, don't hesitate to ask for it during dinner! Their prices are extremely reasonable for the area and the quantity makes a great value. This is also one of those restaurants where you never have to worry about being rushed out--they have ultra-friendly and authentic service.

Comment: Japanese food for reasonable prices. They have a vast variety of sushi rolls and bento boxes for you to choose from and considering the prices you can try all of them without putting an overwhelming dent in your wallet.

Comment: The dish I recommended is the best I have ever tasted beyond a doubt. They have a vast menu with vast choices. This is the most authentic Japanese food I have ever tasted outside of Japan. They know it and they don't take advantage of it by charging their customers outrageously, it's great!
