Avoid Foreclosure and Negotiate With Your Lender

Foreclosure is a scary concept. For many there is no alternative housing - they don't own another home or another condo they can easily move into and it is dreadful finding and relocating to an apartment.

The advice given to those in the pre-foreclosure process are very similar.

Unfortunately at this time because of the high volume of homeowners already in pre-foreclosure and foreclosure, lenders are not accommodating or helping homeowners that are trying to prevent the possibility of a future foreclosure on their home. So although current borrowers who have already missed one or two payments and are looking to "fix" their loan can speak directly to the lender and hopefully remodify the loan terms, those who have not yet made late payments are not given that opportunity.
